Advisor Roles:

Student Council Grade 3-5: Our group focuses on new exciting, innovative ideas for Kegonsa. We've done shoe drives, spread kindness and help raise money through various programs

Play60: This group focus is on making Kegonsa a healthier place. We focus on how to make sure we eat nutritiously and excerscise adequately. You may have seen this group during conferences making yummy smoothies

PBIS team: Our main focus is on our school culture and teaching each student our universal expectations. This is part of our social emotional work that is provided to each student at Kegonsa

Watch D.O.G: I am also the overseer of our volunteer program Watch D.O.G's

Other Roles & Responsibilities:

Individual counseling: on topics like friendship, emotion regulation and more.

Groups: I lead small groups for new students, friendship and more

I also have a large role in helping students solve immediate problems that may come up during their day

Most importantly I believe my most important role is to make sure each student feels safe, welcome and excited to be at Kegonsa .

Bi-weekly classroom lessons are taught to each classroom. This allows me to reach every student at Kegonsa. I cover a variety of topics throughout the year such as emotional regulation, kindness, bullying, Mindfulness and more. This year we continue to build on our Emotional Regulation learning using the Zone's of Regulation curriculum combined with our Mindfulness efforts. We will also continued our work using evidence based curriculum, Second Step. For specific updates please check out the blog!!
